In recent weeks, TikTok has been flooded with a controversial challenge where women post pictures of their children alongside photos of their alleged "deadbeat" fathers.
Dubbed "The Useless Thing I Got My Child," the challenge has sparked heated debates, exposing many men to public ridicule for allegedly neglecting their parental responsibilities.
While some cases may hold truth, the trend has also seen false accusations against celebrities, seemingly for clout or engagement. Unfortunately, DJ Mo found himself entangled in one such accusation.
DJ Mo Calls Out TikToker Over False Allegations
Taking to his Instagram Stories, DJ Mo shared a photo of a woman identified as Ashley, who had claimed he was her child’s father.
Expressing his frustration, he called on anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward.
"Guys, if you know this lady or where she lives, please reach out. KSh 10,000 reward for any useful information," he posted.
The entertainer, who is also a businessman, appeared visibly angered by the allegations, which not only tarnish his reputation but could also have serious personal and professional repercussions.
As of now, Ashley seems to have deleted both the controversial video and her entire TikTok account, raising questions about the authenticity of her claims.
Many speculate that she was simply using DJ Mo’s name for attention, a common tactic in the social media era.

False Accusations in the Age of Viral Trends
DJ Mo is not the first public figure to fall victim to such allegations. Just two weeks ago, Kenyan TikToker Josh Wonder found himself in a similar predicament after being falsely accused of being a deadbeat dad in the same viral TikTok challenge.
A TikTok user named Kaffie posted his picture alongside the caption, "The useless thing I got my child," suggesting he was the father of her baby. The post quickly gained traction, with many viewers attacking Josh Wonder online.
Kaffie’s Apology and Josh Wonder’s Reaction
Following intense backlash, Kaffie issued a public apology, admitting that her claims were completely fabricated.
"Guys, you don’t understand jokes. I don’t even know where he lives, nor have I ever met him. Please don’t take it seriously—it was just content," she wrote.
She went on to apologise directly to Josh Wonder and his girlfriend, TikToker Kendi Q, acknowledging the distress she had caused.
"I’m sorry for embarrassing you and myself. I just wanted to gain numbers on my account. Please forgive me, I never meant any harm."

Josh Wonder, however, was far from amused. In a heated response, he expressed his frustration over the hate messages he had received.
"WTF? In just one hour, I’ve been insulted in ways I can’t even describe. From calls, messages, and comments—it’s insane. This is not okay, hii ni mchezo!" he ranted.
