A FORMER GOVERNOR from Western Kenya is reportedly at war with a section of elders. Reason?

The elders have purportedly rejected his plan to run for a parliamentary seat in the next polls.

The man has been meeting locals and opinion leaders, allegedly splurging millions of shillings in the process as he strategises for the seat.

However, the elders have told him to keep off the seat, which is currently held by a youthful lawmaker.

According to insiders, the elders are unhappy with the man’s performance during his tenure as governor.

But the former county chief has maintained he will run for the seat.
