A lighthearted moment unfolded at Neno Evangelism Centre when the fiery and often controversial preacher, Pastor James Ng’ang’a, playfully teased Morara Kebaso, a young man with political ambitions.
The amusing exchange left the congregation in stitches and social media buzzing with reactions.
The incident began when Pastor Ng’ang’a jokingly remarked on Morara’s appearance, pointing out that he wasn’t wearing socks.
“Na huna soxi,” the pastor observed, prompting laughter from Morara and those in attendance. The charismatic preacher then went on to marvel at Morara’s youthful energy and confidence.
“Hii nayo ni kali. Hii Gen Z hii! I wish nikate 40 years nirudi. Una miaka ngapi?” Ng’ang’a asked.
“29,” Morara responded confidently.
“Songa songa hapo wewe,” the pastor gestured, inviting Morara to address the congregation.
Seizing the opportunity, Morara took the stage to promote himself, boldly declaring his ambition to become the President of Kenya. His confidence resonated with many, as evidenced by the flood of comments on social media.

Others like @swagpointfashions humorously pointed out that Morara was cut off before he could fully explain his plans: “Ulinyang’anywa mic before useme kitu utafanya ukipewa nafasi.”
Pastor Ng’ang’a’s Take on Cohabitation
Beyond the humorous exchange, Pastor Ng’ang’a also delivered a fiery sermon addressing the issue of cohabitation. He criticized men who live with their partners without formally marrying them and paying dowry.
“Uko na mke na hujamlipia mahari, you are a liar. Do not say that she is your wife; she is just staying with you,” he declared passionately.

According to the preacher, marriage only gains spiritual and societal legitimacy once dowry is paid. He warned that relationships based on convenience rather than commitment are bound to fail.
“Ukilipa mahari, ni wako spiritually and physically, and no devil can take her. Lakini ukipretend tu… madhabao nimekwambia ni ile umelipia gharama,” he added.
Ng’ang’a further argued that having children together does not equate to a permanent bond, stating that even couples with children part ways when dowry has not been settled.
