The president stated that they plan to provide access to power in the most remote areas.
Additionally, they also plan to create employment and growth among the citizens.
“We are extending electricity access to the most remote corners of our country to light up homes, power industries, create jobs and drive inclusive economic growth,” Ruto said.

It covers
Garissa, Isiolo, Kilifi, Kwale, Lamu, Mandera, Marsabit, Narok, Samburu, Taita
Taveta, Tana River, Turkana, Wajir and West Pokot Counties.
“The Sh10 billion initiative, covering 14 counties, is part of a broader effort to expand electricity access through mini-grids and stand-alone solar systems whose implementation contracts we signed last week in Nairobi,” Ruto said.
