Egypt led with 17 journalists jailed, followed by Eritrea with 16.

Ethiopia jailed 6, while Cameroon and Rwanda each jailed 5 journalists. Nigeria had 4 cases, and Senegal and Burundi reported one imprisoned journalist each.
