A significant rural-urban divide exists in climate-related investments, with rural areas showing substantially higher overall participation at 41.1 per cent compared to 26.2 per cent in urban areas.

Solar-powered equipment demonstrates the most striking difference, with rural adoption at 25.1 per cent being more than double the urban rate at 10.0 per cent.

Tree planting initiatives also see stronger rural participation at 21.2 per cent versus 15.4 per cent in urban areas.

Water conservation and management projects show a smaller gap, with rural areas at 7 per cent and urban areas at 6.4 per cent.

Urban areas lead in the adoption of energy-efficient cooking stoves at 5.3 per cent compared to 2.0 per cent in rural regions.

Biogas systems remain the least adopted technology across both demographics, with minimal uptake of 0.3 per cent in rural and 0.4 per cent in urban areas.
