Several heads of state and government from the continent attended the meeting. CAADP, is a key AU Agenda 2063 initiative that aims to eradicate hunger and poverty through agriculture-led development and transform Africa's agri-food systems.

In his address, Ruto stressed the need for African nations to collaborate in creating resilient food systems as part of the ongoing effort to end hunger across the continent.
