Radio Jambo host Lion Deh is mourning the devastating loss of his son, Lion Junior, in a tragedy that has left his colleagues and fans heartbroken.
Lion’s longtime co-host and close friend, Githinji Mwangi, popularly known as Mbusii Deh, struggled to contain his emotions on air.
Fighting back tears, he offered heartfelt condolences to Lion Deh and his family during their show.
“Pole sana Lion kwa kupoteza mjunior. Usikonde, the young Lion ako fiti. Take heart, comrade. Losing a child is very hard. Poleni sana,” said Mbusii, his voice cracking with grief. Watch the video below:
Reports indicate that Lion Junior, just one year old, passed away after falling while playing, sustaining a fatal brain injury.

The news was first shared on-air by fellow Radio Jambo presenter Massawe Japanni during her show, Bustani La Massawe.
“Lion won’t be able to attend the show because he has lost his child. Mbusi might or might not make it either, as the two are like brothers,”
Massawe announced, her voice heavy with emotion. “I can’t even imagine how hard it is to lose a child. As a mother, I send my deepest condolences.”
Fans and well-wishers have since flooded social media with messages of support and sympathy for Lion Deh and his family.
Many expressed their sorrow and offered prayers for strength during this difficult time.
