
Together they have created a groundbreaking new sketch comedy series, A Very Kenyan Sketch Show.
The show is a satire that brilliantly parodies the normal yet hilarious behaviours of common mwananchi.
With sharp yet dynamic cinematography, the show uses sketch comedy to magnify the tensions of daily Kenyan living, opening ourselves up for scrutiny and hilarity.

The show’s core cast boasts of the top cream of Kenya’s new generation of performers, with Morris Mwangi (Faithless, Baba Twins), Faiz Ouma (Untying Kantai,Volume), and Sanchez Marley (Untying Kantai, Nairobby).
Rounding off the cast are some eclectic and dynamic guests ranging from Marya Okoth and Eddie Butita of the hit online show A Nurse Toto, to TikTok star and dancer extraordinaire Collo Blue, to Instagram sensation Sisinei Parmeres.

The series, co-produced by Stand-up Collective and Tribesman Pictures, debuted to rave reviews from the guests gathered at an exclusive screening event on Saturday January 4th at 7:30 PMat the Nairobi Laugh Bar.
Most gathered expressed their joy at the growth of Kenyan comedy with the quality of production standing out as being complementary to jokes being told.
The deluge of positive reviews continued online as the show had aglobal YouTube premiere on January 6th at 10 AM. Audiences cannot wait for the full season to be online.

The show blends Muriuki’s expansive filmmaking expertise (A Nurse Toto, One in a Million) with Mutai’s comedic flair, exploring Kenya’s absurd humor and culture through razor sharp satire and hilarious vignettes.
