Legendary gospel singer Daddy Owen is heartbroken after learning that his Christmas guest passed away in a grisly road accident.
On December 25th, Owen used his socials to mourn his friend Ken who perished in the Suswa accident that involved multiple cars.
According to Owen Ken and his family had planned to visit him this Christmas before the tragic accident happened.
“Last year, during a season like this, I visited my friend Philip in Kisii and met his brother Ken. We bonded deeply, and the whole family planned to visit me in Kakamega this year.
Tragically, Ken lost his life in the Suswa accident. My heart sank, as I had already made plans for their visit, and Ken had informed his family,” read a post from Daddy Owen.
He mentioned that he learned about Ken’s demise on social media and he was devastated with the news.
“I later saw photos of the accident online, including a crashed Prado, and recognized a familiar face in a photo shared by government officials.
“I never imagined one day seeing a friend in such a tragic circumstance. My deepest condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time. R.I.P KEN,” Daddy Owen shared.
Ken’s Tragic death
Kenneth Ochwando, perished in the tragic multiple-car crash at Matauro in the Duka Moja area, Narok County.
Ochwando, the Head of Procurement at the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA), was among the victims of the accident, which involved a trailer, a Toyota Prado, a Toyota Premio, an Ena Coach bus, and a matatu shuttle.
