Akothee and the Otuomas

Award-winning singer Esther Akoth aka Akothee penned an emotional letter to Rachel Otuoma following her hubby Ezekiel Otuoma’s death.

In her message, Akothee pointed out how social media can be cruel after several online users started attacking Rachael.

“Social media has created a platform where anyone can post anything, often without empathy or emotional intelligence. The negativity and insensitivity displayed by some individuals, even in times of grief, can be overwhelming. People seem to compete over everything, even in death, forgetting the humanity that binds us all,” Akothee said in part.

The Abebo singer salutes Rachel as an incredible woman who has exemplified the true meaning of "in sickness and in health, till death do us part”.

“Amid this chaos, I want to recognize and honor the strength and resilience of Rachel Otuoma. This extraordinary woman exemplifies the true meaning of "in sickness and in health, till death do us part." Standing by her husband's side during his most vulnerable moments required immense emotional, psychological, and mental strength. Few would have the courage to do what she did, caring selflessly and with love,” Akothee said.

“Rachel, your unwavering dedication is a testament to the power of love. Every time I saw you dance for your husband, I could see the joy and comfort it brought him , you might not know but you extend his breath with that smile. It reminded me of my own father's struggles and the strength required to care for him. You have shown the world what true love and loyalty look like, those yapping wouldn't stand him even for an hour ,its sweater judging from the keyboards,”.

Rachel, take solace in knowing that you gave your best and honored your vows to the fullest. Take thise noise as content fir people chasing clouts, remember everyone wants to be involved in anything hitting the headlines, even if its chopping off your throat, the noise and negativity from those who do not understand your journey is a mirror of whom they are in real life,” Akothee added.
