Mwenda Thuranira’s golden advice to Youth in the AI era

Businessman and MySpace Properties Founder Mwenda Thuranira has offered golden advice to the youth amid the debate that AI will soon replace many jobs.

Speaking at the BNI Infinity CEO’s Networking Dinner, Mwenda asked the youth to work on their character if they want to remain competitive in the job market.

He mentioned that a lot of things will change in the near future but someone with a good character will always remain bankable.

“It’s true that machine running and AI will replace almost everything apart from Character. So work on your character my friends because that will be the most important thing in the future.

“Lawyers will be replaced and at some point, even doctors or any other type of services but the character will not be replaced by AI,” he said.

“In business, we have seen people talk about B2B (Business to Business) and Business to Customer (B2C) but all that era is now gone. We are now on age to age, meaning Human to Human. It’s now about the Human to human connection and like any business making a sale nowadays in not more about the relationship but it’s about how convinced are you about the product or service you are selling so that you can be able to convince somebody else to buy your product,” Mwenda stated.

“People buy people and not things. They will buy from you because they will see that you are full convinced about your service or product,”.

He also mentioned that the key to making money and building a reputable business is aiming at solving problems affecting the large population.

“One thing I know about opportunities is that they are found where there is problems. When you solve a problem you make money,” Mwenda added.
