President William Ruto is received at the Kilimanjaro International Airport in Tanzania on November 29, 2024/PCS

President William Ruto has arrived in Arusha, Tanzania where he is set to join other heads of state for the 24th Ordinary Summit of the East African Heads of State.

Ruto was received at the Kilimanjaro International Airport by Constitutional Affairs Minister Prof. Kalamagamba Kabuddi and EAC Secretary General Veronica Nduva.

Among those accompanying are EAC Cabinet Secretary Beatrice Askul and Attorney General Dorcas Oduor among other leaders.

The summit brings together regional leaders to address key challenges facing the East African Community (EAC).

During the meeting, the leaders will also discuss strategies to accelerate economic integration, strengthen the region's resilience to climate change, and address insecurity among other issues.
