Kenya Meteorological Department has said moderate to heavy rainfall will continue over several parts of the country.
The weatherman urged Kenyans to stay alert as some areas may experience very heavy rainfall (>50mm in 24 hours).
According to the weather forecast covering Monday, November 25 to Wednesday, November 27, there will be rains and thunderstorms over a few areas in the Highlands West of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin and the Rift Valley.
These include Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia and West Pokot Counties.
According to the weatherman, the same conditions of rains, showers and thunderstorms will continue In the North-western parts of Turkana and Samburu Counties.
In the Highlands East of Rift Valley, there will be a chance of rain in the mornings with showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evenings of showers.
The affected areas include Nairobi County, Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu and Tharaka Counties.
The weather forecast showed that the North-eastern region being Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo Counties will experience rains over a few places in the mornings, showers and thunderstorms over a few places in the afternoons and evenings of showers.
The same is expected in the South-eastern lowlands of Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado and Taita Taveta Counties as well as inland parts of Tana River County.
In the Coast region, Kenya Met forecasts that there will be showers over a few places on Monday and Tuesday.
On Wednesday however, there will be sunny intervals in the morning, a chance of showers in the afternoon and it will be partly cloudy in the evening.
The affected areas include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as coastal parts of Tana River County.
Kenya Met said the temperature is expected to be warmer than usual over the whole country with the highest probabilities for warmer temperatures over the Central and Eastern parts of the country.
