Sarah Kabu

Sarah Kabu, the Managing Director of Bonfire Adventures, has once again stirred social media discussions with her controversial take on cheating men.

Speaking on the Hey Girl podcast with Eve Mungai, Sarah shared her belief that men who cheat still deeply love their wives and rarely leave them for side chics.

"Most married men dearly love their wives. If you're a married woman, you made vows, he put a ring on your finger, and he hasn't chased you away, and he is cheating on you, just know deep down he truly loves you and wishes to spend the rest of his life with you," Sarah stated.

Using examples of politicians involved in love triangles, Sarah opined that despite their infidelity, married men prioritize their wives.

"They don't leave their wives, and deep down, they love them. They put their wives' names under their investments, not the side chics'," she added.

When asked why men cheat, Sarah attributed it to curiosity and desire. "They are just exploring. For some, it is a fetish. They just want to see different 'things'," she explained.

A Clash of Generations

Sarah's comments came just a week after the same podcast addressed the topic of infidelity, with host Eve Mungai challenging the perspective.

Eve and her co-host Liz Jackson argued that modern women are no longer willing to tolerate cheating in relationships, calling Sarah's stance outdated.

In episode two of Hey Girl, the hosts discussed Sarah's claim that "women should not leave a man because of cheating," and rejected the notion as incompatible with today's realities.

They highlighted a shift from the traditional belief that “Mwanamke ni kuvumilia kwenye ndoa” (a woman must endure in marriage) to a modern outlook that prioritizes happiness and personal well-being.

Eve shared a personal anecdote to stress this change in mindset: "My mom used to say, 'Just endure a little, try and stay calm.' But nowadays, I’ve empowered her, and at least she knows it’s not about enduring; one should be in a happy marriage."

Public Reactions

The conversation has sparked widespread debate on social media, with opinions divided. While some viewers support Sarah’s belief that marriages should withstand challenges like infidelity, others back Eve and Liz’s modern approach, advocating for self-respect and mutual fidelity in relationships.
