
Legendary US Boxer Mike Tyson has broken his silence after being defeated by a 27-year-old boxer in a Friday Night match.
Taking to his socials, 58-year-old Tyson said that he has no regrets whatsoever after lasting 8-rounds in the ring.
According to the former Boxer, it was a privilege to get back in the ring one more time for his fans after battling a series of obstacles.
Mike revealed that he almost died in June after he lost half of his blood and had to undergo a transfusion.
“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won,” Mike said.
He went on to express his gratitude that turn-up to watch the fight and all those who followed it online.
“To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you ?,” Tyson added.
The Jake and Tyson boxing match broke the viewership record on Netflix as over 50 million people tuned in to watch.
“Crushed every viewership record for boxing since the advent of cable. What an accomplishment. And over 50M households saw the best of women’s boxing on display. That’s the biggest win. We are boxing,” Jake wrote after the fight.
Jake Paul, it was an honour to fight Tyson.
"Who mocked him? He’s a f--king beast. All respect to the Baddest Ever. It was an honor to share the ring with him @MikeTyson,” he said.
Paul added, "He's the GOAT. I look up to him, I'm inspired by him, and we wouldn't be here today without him. This man is an icon and it's just an honor to be able to fight him and he's obviously the toughest, baddest man on the planet, so it was it was really tough, like I expected it to be."
Reports indicated that Jake Paul took home $40 million after winning the fight while Tyson got $20 million after losing the fight
