What to Expect at the Festival

From a burst of stories through theatrical performances to music, dance, food and workshops, this year’s festival promises it all.

As they have done in the past 5 years through the Capacity building programs in counties outside Nairobi City, program such as County Theatre Fiesta, KITFT will continue to mentor more theatre companies and thespians from all over Kenya with programs such as Sauti za Boma and County Theatre Fiesta, with showcases and installations of the best theatre stories and pieces from the counties being featured at the Festival.

The face of the festival this year is John Sibi Okumu. Being one of the legendary thespians of the industry, it’s an honor to have him grace us. He is a true representation of the growth of Kenyan theatre.

The Ambassador of the festival this year is Martin Githinji aka Daddie Marto.
