Celebrities at Collo's Listening Party

Legendary Kenyan singer and songwriter Mr Lenny is appealing to Kleptomaniax (Collo, Nyashinski & Roba) to consider a reunion soon.

Speaking at Collo’s exclusive Listening Party, Lenny said that he had not had enough Kleptomaniax as a group and therefore he would not mind if they dropped one more album.

“Bado hatujatosheka na Kleptomaniax, mimi personally kama Mr Lenny I have not had enough of Kleptomaniax and I would like to see them together again.

“I want to ask my brother Nyashinski to hold Collo’s hand  because they have worked together before and they did an amazing job together with Roba

So please come back to the industry as Kleptomaniax and give us one more album.

At the same time, Lenny lauded Collo as a very talented artiste, adding that he is happy to see him back in the industry.

“Collo is a very talented guy and I feel he has not even given us his full potential. He is actually supposed to be up there with his brother Nyashinki.

“I’m happy for him and when he sent me the invite to be here I said this is it and I have to be here. We have been waiting for his return to the game.

He added;

“They did fantastic work as Kleptomaniax and it’s never easy when a group separates.

“I’m happy that he is back to give us more music and the songs I have listened to are dope. He really needs to let this music out there for people to listen to them we still need you.



On Friday, Collo held an exclusive Listening party to some of his unreleased songs and it was pure vibes.

The listening party held at Mageuzi Hub in Kilimani brought together several industry players who were out to support Collo as he made a grand comeback in the game, claiming his throne as ‘King Wa Rap.

The invite-only occasion was graced by legendary stars like; Nameless, Mr Lenny, Frasha, Dr Reign, Maureen Kunga from Elani, Big Pin, and Sam Gold among others.

During the Listening party, Collo mentioned that he started off his career back in 2001 as part of a group called Kleptomaniax

“I started my music career as part of a group called Kleptomaniax in 2021. The group later disbanded in 2007 after we finished our tour in the US.

He further stated that he had spoken to Roba who is regarded as the founder of Kleptomaniax and fans should expect a deluxe soon.

“I spoke to Roba who is the founder of Kleptomaniax and he was like we need a deluxe album and I think it can happen because even Mr Nyamari wants to do some Klepto. So probably 2025 you might see a Kleptomaniax project,” Collo said.

Guests got the rare opportunity to listen to Collo’s unreleased songs as he prepared to present them to his fans.

Kleptomaniax is a rap group from Nairobi, Kenya consisting of three members: Roba, Collo, and Nyashinski.

Kleptomaniax was formed in 1999 when they were still high school students at the Nairobi School.
