Activist Morara Kebaso has been released after being arrested in the morning.

Reports indicate that Morara was arrested after being called to go and pick up his phone from DCI Headquarters. He was immediately transferred to the police in Lang’ata where was detained for the better part today.

Part of the charge sheet indicates that Morara is being accused of incitement at Bomas of Kenya for shouting the words ‘Kufa dereva Kufa Makanga’. In the morning Kebaso tweeted; “I have been arrested over what happened at Bomas. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? Does it even make sense jamani? What is this now? Ni nini hii? Ah,”

Morara said in a tweet. At the same time, The Inject Party leader appealed to Kenyans to stand with him at this difficult time.

“Please don’t abandon me in my hour of need,” read a tweet from Kebaso that has now been seen by over 73K people.

He also asked for Kenyans to help boost his security. The request comes after Morara was attacked by goons at the Bomas of Kenya last week.
