Kenyan food influencer and YouTuber Sueh Owino has given fans a glimpse into her rural homestead, showcasing a stylish mud house, outdoor kitchen and vegetable garden.
The content creator shared a video documenting an afternoon at her village home, where she continues to develop a property built using natural and locally sourced materials.
The homestead features a traditional mud-walled house with a thick makuti roof, wooden doors and small windows.
Unlike conventional modern houses, the structure combines traditional construction techniques with practical additions designed to make everyday living comfortable.
The interior features treated earthen floors that are waterproof and easy to clean, while the walls were made using a mixture of red soil, sand, water and rice straw.

One of the standout features of the property is a separate outdoor kitchen designed for traditional cooking.
The structure is built using masonry, stone and natural supports, including tree trunks. It also features a thatched roof that provides shelter while keeping the cooking area open.
The kitchen has running water taps, washing and food preparation areas, as well as a wood-fired cooking stove.
Sueh’s compound also features a vegetable garden with raised beds where different leafy greens and other produce are grown.
Stone pathways run through the property, connecting different sections of the homestead, while additional structures, including a gazebo and poultry areas, are still being developed.
The content creator was also captured working around the compound, showing the everyday activities involved in maintaining the rural property.
