Entrepreneur Simon Kabu has opened up about his weight-loss journey, appealing to Kenyans for advice on losing 14kg after shedding some weight and saying he wants to keep going without pressure.
He has already lost some weight and is determined to keep going, but without putting himself under unnecessary pressure.
Inside Kabu’s weight-loss programme
In a social media post, the entrepreneur outlined the three changes at the heart of his programme: regular exercise, a revised diet, and more vegetables and water.
He said he has cut back on carbohydrates, eats more greens and sticks to regular workouts.
“I’m on my weight loss programme. I have shed some weight, but my objective is to shed 14 kg. I am doing three things: one, consistent exercises; two, dieting – little or no carbs; three, more greens and water,” he said.
He then asked his followers for further advice.

“So what else should I do so that I am able to shed slowly without pressure?”
Kabu said he would like to hear from Kenyans who have been through similar weight-loss journeys. He is asking for practical tips on what else he could add to his routine.
Simon Kabu enjoys benefits of working out
Beyond his weight-loss target, the changes are already making a difference to how he feels, both physically and mentally.
Regular exercise has left him healthier and mentally refreshed, giving him more motivation to stay consistent.
“Now I am working out and at least I feel so healthy and my mind rejuvenated.”
Several Kenyan celebrities have turned to medical help for weight loss. Kabu, however, appears to be relying on exercise and diet as he works towards his goal.
