Tanzanian singer Zuchu has defended Diamond Platnumz’s continued ties with his baby mamas, saying parents who share children can never be removed from each other’s lives.
Speaking in an interview with Mando Plus on Sunday, October 25, 2026, she said she has come to better understand co-parenting.
She does not expect Diamond to cut ties with the mothers of his children, among them Ugandan businesswoman Zari Hassan and Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.
“Two people who have reproduced, there is no way to erase them from each other’s lives,” she said.
She added that even if they split, she would stay tied to him through the family they share.
“Even if we were to break up, even the woman who comes next in Diamond’s life has no way of erasing me from Diamond’s life, perhaps until I am dead,” she said.
Trust at the centre
Zuchu said accepting co-parenting takes a positive mindset and confidence in the relationship. The mothers, she said, are part of the family and not a threat.
She said trust grows with time and her bond with Tanasha was not built overnight.
“This relationship you see me having with Tanasha today did not start today. There is trust that was built, going on and on until I believed that, oh, these people are done,” she said.

The interviewer had asked how she handles his contact with former partners, including when they visit his home and interact with her.
Why peaceful co-parenting matters
She said frequent conflict and tension between parents who share children may point to unresolved feelings, while calm communication shows they have moved on.

“When you see them able to move smoothly, without exhibiting those specific behaviors that cause you worry, meaning a phone can be answered while you are present. You understand? A child’s matters being handled while you are present, know that those are normal circumstances,” she said.
Zuchu, Tanasha and Zari
Diamond has children with several women. Zari has two with him, and Tanasha a son. Both remain part of public conversation about his personal life.
