President William Ruto has begun a four-day development tour of Ukambani with the commissioning of the Mwala Cluster Water Project in Mbiuni Ward, Mwala Constituency, Machakos County.

The project is expected to help address persistent water shortages in the Lower Eastern region.

During the tour, Ruto is scheduled to visit Machakos, Makueni and Kitui counties, where he will launch, inspect and commission development projects involving roads, affordable housing, electricity connectivity and water.

He is also expected to issue title deeds.
