The Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) has launched investigations into the arrest and detention of journalist Ode Francis by police during protests over rising fuel prices. IPOA says it will review police records, examine the circumstances of the arrest and determine whether officers followed the law and proper procedures. The authority says it will make recommendations after completing its investigations.
