Former Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu’s wife, Susan Wangari, has been allowed to have her confiscated mobile phone, released to her daughter, Monica Njeri. The order was issued today after her lawyer argued that the device was not an exhibit in any investigation and was needed to help run Wangari’s business. State prosecutor Vincent Monda did not oppose the application, advising the defence to coordinate with prison authorities to facilitate the release.
