Digital strategist Pauline Njoroge has called on Kenyans to pray for Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, whom she described as a leader raised by God to help restore the country.

Speaking during a church service at Jesus Teaching Ministry Church in Donholm on Sunday, Njoroge drew parallels between the biblical story of David and Kenya’s current political and economic challenges.

She said Kenyans were facing difficulties, including shortages of medication in hospitals, alleged misappropriation of public funds and reduced capitation for schools.

“The word of God is living and it is timeless. It speaks to us in every situation and every circumstance,” Njoroge said.

She cited the biblical account of King Saul, whom she accused of mistreating the Israelites through high taxation and forcing their children into slavery, saying the people cried to God for help.

Njoroge said God raised David, a young but courageous leader described in the Bible as a man after God’s own heart, to respond to the people’s needs.

“In Kenya, we have cried for God to help us. There is no medication in hospitals, but we can see misappropriation of funds. In schools, we are told there is no capitation and are being cut,” she said.

She said Kenyans had continued to pray for relief amid the challenges, adding that she believed God had raised leaders who could help address the country’s problems.

“But God is not a respecter of persons. He has raised for us Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna,” Njoroge said.

She urged the congregation to support Sifuna through prayer, warning that those who stood with him could face political pressure.

“Apostle, you have said it is the journey of restoration. They will come after him, they will send police after his people, but stand with us and pray for this man for our country to be restored,” she said.

Njoroge praised Sifuna’s political role as part of a journey towards national restoration, urging Kenyans to remain steadfast in their support.

Her remarks come after the Linda Mwananchi movement appointed Njoroge as interim head of communication in its Presidential Campaign Secretariat as it steps up efforts to organise its political structures and rebranding process.

Njoroge will lead the communication function, drawing on her experience in political and strategic communication, including work on presidential campaigns and engagements with government institutions and intergovernmental organisations.

The appointments were announced in a statement issued by the movement on October 13, following a meeting of the Linda Mwananchi leadership on Monday.
