A 45-year-old man has drowned in River Nyando, Kisumu County, while collecting spilled fuel from a damaged Kenya Pipeline Company pipe. Fredrick Ouma Sombe reportedly suffocated before slipping into the water. His body was recovered downstream from Kibigori Railway Bridge and taken to Othoo Funeral Home for a post-mortem. The damaged pipeline has since been repaired.
