Importers of unregistered pesticides risk a Sh1 million fine or up to two years in prison under a new Bill backed by MPs.The proposed law seeks to tighten regulation of pesticide imports by introducing stricter controls, enhanced inspection powers and tougher penalties for offenders as the bill is now a step closer to becoming law.
