President William Ruto is set to engage farmers, agricultural stakeholders and other sector players during a Presidential Town Hall on Agriculture and Food Security at Jamhuri Park in Nairobi.

The summit is expected to focus on Kenya’s agricultural sector, food production and measures to strengthen food security, as the government continues to pursue reforms aimed at increasing productivity and improving farmers’ incomes.

The forum brings together key players in the agriculture sector to discuss challenges facing farmers and explore ways of improving access to markets, agricultural inputs, financing and modern farming technologies.

The Presidential Town Hall forms part of the government’s broader engagement with Kenyans on key sectors of the economy and provides a platform for stakeholders to raise concerns and seek responses from the administration.

The agriculture and food security sector remains central to Kenya’s economy, supporting livelihoods while contributing significantly to employment and household incomes.

Ruto is expected to outline the government’s progress and priorities in the sector while responding to questions and concerns raised by participants during the summit.
