Kenyan  social media personality Dem wa Facebook, whose real name is Millicent Ayuwa, has shared the cheeky, faith-filled story behind the birth of her twin daughters, attributing the milestone to a combination of answered prayers, hard work, and a divine miracle during an exclusive Quick fire  with Mpasho’s Kalondu.

Dem wa Facebook welcomed her twin daughters on 20 May 2026 at 7:25 am. However, she waited until 18 June 2026 to make the public announcement, thanking her inner circle and brand team for keeping the secret.

"God did it"

When asked by Kalondu Musyimi about her secret to conceiving twins, the comedienne burst into laughter, cheekily joking about "mastingo deadly deadly" before turning serious about her faith.

"I once told God I want twins... and God did it," she revealed.

While describing the birth as a miracle, she emphasized that personal effort and readiness were equally important in receiving the blessing.

Twin birth rates across Africa

Dem wa Facebook's news places her among a group that is more common on the African continent than anywhere else.

Twins remain relatively rare worldwide, but the numbers show a clear regional pattern.

A journey from Trans Nzoia to motherhood

The birth marks a major personal milestone for the entertainer, who was born in Butere and raised in Trans Nzoia in a humble household.

Dem has often spoken about her upbringing, describing parents who worked hard to make ends meet, with her mother working on farms or selling vegetables and her father selling building bricks.

Before her rise in comedy, she played for Trans Nzoia Falcons in the Kenya Women's Premier League for five years. By her own account, she captained the side to victory in the 2018 Chapa Dimba na Safaricom tournament.

Her father, Albert Obayi, publicly celebrated her pregnancy on 30 January 2026 by sending congratulations and quoting Romans 8:28.

Now caring for her newborn daughters, Dem encourages other women to keep their faith while actively pursuing their goals.
