Parents and communities have been urged to take a more active role in guiding young people on relationships and personal safety. Human rights activist Patricia Njeri says children need trusted adults they can approach when facing challenges. She says parents should maintain close communication with their children, while schools and communities should create safe spaces for discussions on sexual and reproductive health, helping young people make informed decisions and avoid harmful situations.
