Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) and the Kenya School of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (KSTVET) have announced vacancies in senior administrative and professional positions.

MMUST has invited applications for four positions as part of its efforts to strengthen its management and administrative functions.

The university is seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Officer in the Office of the Vice Chancellor, as well as a Finance Officer, Deputy Finance Officer and ICT Manager in the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration and Finance).

The positions are open to suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements set out by the university.

Applicants are required to submit a detailed curriculum vitae, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, a National Identity Card or passport, testimonials, email addresses, telephone contacts and other relevant supporting documents.

Successful candidates will also be required to provide valid clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), Higher Education Loans Board (HELB), Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and a registered Credit Reference Bureau.

Applicants must provide the names, telephone numbers and contact addresses of three referees.

The university has also asked applicants to request their referees to submit confidential reports directly to the institution. The reports must be received by Monday, October 26, 2026.

Applications should be submitted through registered mail or courier, with the relevant reference number marked on the envelope. Applicants are also required to send a soft copy of the application in PDF format to [email protected].

The deadline for applications is October 26, 2026, at 5pm.

MMUST said applicants with foreign qualifications must have their certificates certified by the Commission for University Education (CUE).

The university warned that canvassing would result in automatic disqualification and said only shortlisted candidates would be contacted.

Meanwhile, the Kenya School of Technical, Vocational Education and Training (KSTVET) has advertised a senior management position on a five-year contract.

The State Corporation, which operates under the Ministry of Education's State Department for Technical, Vocational Education and Training, is seeking to recruit a Director, Admissions, Assessment and Certification.

The position is being advertised under Advert No. 1 KSTVET/ADM/03/2026.

Interested candidates have been directed to visit the KSTVET website and follow the application guidelines provided.

Applications must be received by Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 5 pm (EAT).

KSTVET said it is an equal opportunity employer and encouraged qualified persons with disabilities and people from marginalised groups to apply.
