President William Ruto has directed the NSSF and other agencies handling retirement benefits to ensure public servants receive their payments within ten days of retirement. Speaking during World Teachers’ Day celebrations at Kasarani, He said the move will help end long delays that have forced retirees to wait months or even years for their benefits. He said the digital Pension Management Information System will help speed up processing by improving the management of pension records. President Ruto said teachers and other public servants should not be forced to move from one government office to another while seeking their retirement benefits.
