The government is committed to completing the construction of pending aggregation and fresh produce markets in Kiambu County. Speaking during an inspection of the ongoing works at  Nyambari Market in Lari, Deputy President Kithure Kindiki said Kiambu will have 31 fresh produce markets, among the highest in the country. He said, the government is building 600 modern markets across the country which will provide a conducive business environment for small-scale traders and farmers. Kindiki added that the facilities will include key social amenities aimed at improving the livelihoods of traders and sellers.
