President William Ruto has called on UDA and ODM supporters to set aside political rivalry and work together ahead of the 2027 General Election. Speaking in Mombasa, Ruto said the two parties have demonstrated cooperation under the broad-based government arrangement and should extend the spirit of unity to their supporters. His remarks come amid growing political competition in Mombasa, where UDA Secretary-General Hassan Omar is seeking to unseat Governor Abdul Nassir who is seeking a re-election.
