Mustafa is a Kenyan musician with years of experience in the entertainment industry, while Marya is a singer and former dancer known for her music career.
The two were once romantically involved before their relationship ended nearly 15 years ago.
After years apart, Mustafa and Marya are now on good terms and are set to reunite on stage during an upcoming event celebrating Mustafa’s career milestone.
The show, dubbed Celebrating the Milestone of Colonel Mustafa, will be held at Imperial Lounge off Kiambu Road on October 10, 2026, where Marya is expected to support Mustafa and sing during the event.

Marya Set to Support Mustafa
Mustafa thanked Marya for deciding to attend his upcoming show despite her health struggles.
“Amejitolea because it’s hard work for her. She can’t walk properly, but the voice is back,” Mustafa said, expressing his gratitude for her willingness to support him.
He also thanked the people around Marya for allowing her to take part in the event.
Mustafa said their breakup was extremely painful and admitted that he carried a lot of anger after the relationship ended.
“Iliniuma sana. Inatuleta pamoja after almost 15 years na hatujai meet ivi juu niliondoka na hasira sana kwa hii mapenzi,” he said.
Mustafa Admits He Became a Player
Looking back on the relationship, Mustafa admitted that he loved Marya deeply but struggled with the pain of losing her.
“Iliniuma nilimpoteza na nilikua nampenda sana,” he said.
He went on to admit that the heartbreak contributed to him becoming a player.
Mustafa openly admitted that he cheated on Marya on several occasions.
“Marya ashai nipatanga niki cheat,” he revealed.
He recalled one particular incident in which a friend allegedly introduced him to another woman while Marya was working in town.
“Aliniset she was working in town,” Mustafa recalled.
According to Mustafa, Marya discovered the infidelity but initially chose to forgive him.
“Alinipata, hakuenda. She forgave me,” he said.
The Woman He Was Cheating With Came to Their House
Mustafa also recalled an incident involving the woman he had been cheating with, who eventually came to the house where he and Marya were living.
“Uyo dem mwingine alikuja kwa hiyo keja tulikua tunakaa,” Mustafa said.
He admitted that he had been attracted to the woman, describing her as exceptionally beautiful.
“Nilimtrust my friend but uyo dem alikua mrembo ajabu,” he recalled.
Mustafa acknowledged that Marya eventually discovered what was happening and said he accepts responsibility for his actions.
“Nilipatikana na Maya. I accept I cheated,” he said.
From Lovers to a Stage Reunion
Despite their troubled past, Mustafa and Marya have now managed to establish a better relationship.
Mustafa recalled how he had previously helped Marya enter the music industry after she had spent years dancing.
He also remembered telling her just how important she was to him.
“I told her ukiniacha utakua umeenda na half of my body,” Mustafa recalled.
Although their relationship eventually ended, Mustafa said he eventually had to accept what had happened and move forward.
“Ilikua inaniumiza, but nilijikaza and I moved on,” he said.
