A Nairobi court has rejected an application by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions  to detain two suspects for 30 days over the murder of Dr Victoria Mutiso. Police Constable Collins Bett and Pius Muiru Mbugua are accused of jointly murdering Dr Mutiso in July 2026, alongside other suspects who have not been arraigned. Justice Alexander Muteti instead directed the two suspects to undergo mental assessment by 5^thOctober.
