The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has dismissed a media  report claiming it is registering foreigners to participate in the 2027 General Election, terming the allegations misleading and unsubstantiated. The Commission says no credible evidence has been presented to support claims of illegal voter registration or transfer of voters. IEBC has clarified that its mandate is to register eligible Kenyan citizens with valid identification documents and maintain the voter register, adding that it does not issue national IDs or passports.
