The United States has praised Kenya for taking a strong stand against drug trafficking after destroying more than 1,000 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at Sh8.2 billion. In a social media post, the US Embassy in Kenya said the destruction in Mombasa was a major step towards removing illicit drugs from the East African market. The embassy also praised its long-standing partnership with the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit through joint training and information sharing to combat narcotics trafficking.
