Calls have been made for the full implementation of the Kenya Agricultural Sector Extension Policy (KASEP) to address challenges facing agricultural extension services. Director of Crop Resources Management Douglas Kangi says implementing the policy could help tackle the acute shortage of extension officers. Speaking during the fourth national agriculture extension conference, Kangi also noted that the policy promotes digital extension services to modernize the sector, improve service delivery and reach more farmers.
