Veteran musician Nameless has offered fans a candid look into his culinary preferences during a light-hearted Quickfire chat with Mpasho presenter Kalondu.
Ugali, Kanyama And Sukumawiki Tops His List
When asked about his favourite meal, the singer didn't hesitate.
"Ugali, kanyama na sukumawiki with tomato sauce... inaslap!"
The combination is a Kenyan household staple: maize meal served with roasted or fried meat and sukumawiki, a leafy green vegetable often cooked with onions and tomatoes.

Githeri Misses The Mark
On the flip side, githeri didn't make his list of favourites, with the singer citing one specific gripe about the popular Kenyan dish.
"Githeri... ambayo iko na nini nyingi, mei nyingi."
Githeri, a traditional dish made of boiled maize and beans, has long been a staple among the Gikuyu, Meru, Embu and Kamba communities.
It has also been served as a standard school lunch in Kenya since the 1920s and has, in recent years, enjoyed a resurgence in popularity thanks to its nutritional value.

One Dish He Trusts Himself With
As for his own cooking skills, Nameless kept it simple, admitting the one dish he's confident preparing is eggs.
"Mayai," he said, laughing.
For fans, however, his uncomplicated approach to food and limited cooking routine offer a relatable look at the icon behind the music.
