There is a need for social media companies to work closely with security agencies to curb the spread of misinformation in Kenya, particularly as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election. Artist Maxwell Okutu says creative arts can also play a key role in educating Kenyans about the dangers of false information and its potential impact on the country’s peace and stability.
