Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen says more than 1,000 kilograms of methamphetamine worth Sh8.2 billion seized in the Indian Ocean have been destroyed. CS Murkomen says the seizure demonstrates the value of intelligence-led, multi-agency and international cooperation in combating drug trafficking. He says the government will not allow Kenya to become a safe haven for the manufacture, trafficking or distribution of illicit drugs.
