EACC CEO Abdi Mohamud has cautioned Kenyans against accepting handouts from politicians during election campaigns. Mohamud says voters who take money from candidates risk allowing politicians to view the cash as buying their votes, rather than earning their support. He says such leaders may not feel obliged to serve citizens after securing elective positions through financial inducements.
