Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has criticised President William Ruto for describing retired President Uhuru Kenyatta as a “rebel leader” and sponsor, saying the remarks were uncalled for. Speaking earlier today, Kalonzo said the 2027 political contest would not be between Ruto and Uhuru but between the President and Kenyans seeking to challenge his administration. He also welcomed the court’s decision affirming the right of former heads of state to participate in political life.
