Laikipia Governor Joshua Irungu has called on aspirants seeking to succeed him and others eyeing various elective positions in the 2027 General Election to conduct peaceful campaigns and avoid divisive politics. Irungu urged politicians to be cautious about their utterances, warning against reigniting political tensions experienced in previous election cycles. He said aspirants may support different political agendas, but must remember that Laikipia is a cosmopolitan county and thus should promote peaceful coexistence.
