Interior PS Raymond Omollo interacts with Narok residents on September 20, 2026 / HANDOUTInterior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo has urged Kenyans to register with the Social Health Authority (SHA), saying the government’s healthcare reforms are aimed at easing the financial burden of medical treatment on families.
Speaking in Narok, Omollo said more than 33 million Kenyans had registered with SHA, allowing them to access healthcare services regardless of whether they are formally employed.
He said the government introduced the programme because of the importance of ensuring Kenyans can access medical care without being forced to sell livestock or close businesses to settle hospital bills.
“The President has done this because of the importance of healthcare. We don’t want Kenyans to struggle to sell their livestock or end businesses because of hospital bills. I urge you all to register with SHA so that Taifa Care benefits you and the whole family,” Omollo said.
PS Omollo also praised President William Ruto’s development record, arguing that government projects were being implemented across different parts of the country.

“For the first time in Kenya’s history, we have a leader who is attentive to every part of the country and every community,” he said.
Omollo further linked the government’s development agenda to the 2027 General Election, saying he expected Ruto to secure a second term to continue implementing his programmes.
“When it reaches next year, Kenyans will vote him in for his second term so that he continues with transformation in the country,” he said.
The PS also highlighted investments in education, saying the government had employed more than 100,000 teachers over the past four years.
He urged parents in Narok to take advantage of government investment in education and ensure their children remain focused on their studies.
“Our children are our future leaders. The government has put in resources to teach you in schools and the right infrastructure, all we expect of you is to be diligent, take your studies seriously so that you change Narok and the rest of the country,” Omollo said.
