The Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) has been transformed into the National Anti-Narcotics Investigations Bureau (NANIB), with 208 additional officers recruited to tackle drug trafficking and illicit alcohol. Speaking in Embakasi during the passing-out parade of GSU recruits Interior CS Kipchumba Murkomen says the government has strengthened community-led security through the Jukwaa La Usalama initiative, involving residents, youth, religious leaders and businesses in security management.
