Uasin Gishu Woman Rep and Deputy Speaker Gladys Shollei has described gender-based violence and child trafficking as a national security crisis rather than a women’s issue. Speaking at a Kenya-Romania conference on protecting women and children, Shollei said the country must fully implement existing laws to protect women and girls from violence and hold perpetrators accountable.
