Mombasa Catholic Archbishop Dominic Kimengich has urged security agencies to take firm action against political thuggery witnessed at public rallies across the country. He warned that the growing culture of violence and intimidation could escalate and threaten peace ahead of the 2027 General Election. He said political competition should be based on ideas, policies and manifestos, rather than mobilising youths to disrupt rallies, intimidate opponents or incite violence.
